iPhone app lets disabled child talk to her parents
Description
The father of a severely disabled girl who cannot speak has given her a voice for the first time by creating an iPhone app. Proud father Martin Brooks, 42, became increasingly frustrated at not being able to understand what his five-year-old daughter Mia Brooks wanted. Bright Mia was deprived of oxygen for at birth causing her to develop Cerebral Palsy which has left her unable to walk or talk. The inspired dad came up with the iComm which allows Mia to point to pictures on the iPhone screen using her eyes to show what she wants to do.
