Description
Up to 80% of food consumed in the U.S. contains genetically modified organisms (GMOs) as does almost all processed food. Despite widespread concern over the long-term effects of GMOs on health, there are virtually no scientific studies in the field and the Food and Drug Administration has given them a blanket endorsement, giving their use by big business in agroindustrial production. In today's program, host Jorge Gestoso interviews Alexis-Baden Mayer of the Organic Consumers Association on the hazards of GMOs. teleSUR
