Etten (born Eleni Tzavara) is a charismatic performer and a multi-faceted contemporary artist. She has been a long-term collaborator of FILM, one of the leading bands of the Athenian alternative music scene, and has recorded two critically-acclaimed albums with them (No Luggage and Angel B). She has also collaborated with Lena Platonos, an iconic figure of the local electronic scene.

In 2009 Etten released her solo debut entitled I Know You’re Behind me But I’m Not Scared (Undo/EMI) to rave reviews. Its experimental art-pop is an exquisite fusion of electronic and acoustic components that coalesce into sublime melodies, multi-layered vocal lines and knotty rhythms. The album was produced by two of the most significant electronic producers in Greece, Coti K. and Mikael Delta.

Etten’s live performances are a unique experience that combine masterfully sonic, visual and theatrical elements. Over the years she has composed, recorded and performed music for theatre, contemporary dance and art exhibitions in places like Moscow, Boston, London, Dresden and Athens. Etten is also a graphic designer, fashion stylist and owner of En Vit Ekorre, a clothes & accessories recycling brand that took part in Athens Biennale. She recently received - along with performing artist H.O.P.E. – the National Award for Graphics and Illustration for the design of the cover of I Know You’re Behind me… Etten currently spends her time between Athens and Stockholm.
