Interesting gasmeter in Rapid City

This fully mechanical gasmeter was at our hotel in Rapid City, South Dakota.

The temperature compensation is done by mechanical means instead of temp-cor. via an electronic register.
As luck would happen by waiting about half an hour an interesting register roll over was about to happen.
