Interdictor-class Star Destroyer

The Interdictor-class Star Destroyer is a limited production variant of the Imperial I Star Destroyer. Equipped with 4 Gravity Well Generators, it has the ability to prevent nearby ships from entering hyperspace and can cause ships travelling through hyperspace to revert to sublight speed when their nav computers detect a gravity well in the path ahead and shut down as a precaution.

This makes them ideal for ambushes, but the installation of the Gravity Well generators comes with the price of reduced shielding and weaponry and leaves it more vulnerable than a standard Star Destroyer in a Capital ship fight.
