Instagram Changes Feed, Changes Back

Instagram was put through the ringer on Thursday after users did not like a new app update. Refinery29 reports the social media platform changed the user interface to require a horizontal tap through instead of the long-utilized vertical scroll. In a pop-up explaining the feature, Instagram announced that it was rolling out a new way to explore posts in the same way that Instagram Stories are watched. In only a few hours and many angry tweets later, the format changed back to the way it was before. In an official statement, Instagram told Refinery29: “Due to a bug, some users saw a change to the way their feed appears today. We quickly fixed the issue and feed is back to normal. We apologize for any confusion.”
