A city that lets you breathe, feel and thrive. A city that makes you its own. Each day in the lives of these millions is a living, flourishing example of the zest. But as the city was going about business as usual, on August 22 it all came to a crashing halt. My city Mumbai made me feel vulnerable. Fear and security gripped me. Sometime after 5 pm, on a busy Thursday (August 22) in Mumbai, a 22-year-old photojournalist, accompanied by a male colleague were on an assignment. The young girl, working as an intern in an lifestyle magazine was gangraped by five men, in the heart of Mumbai. The horror unfolded when she went to Shakti mills, situated next to the famous studios. The girl and her colleague were on an assignment, working on chawls and mills in Mumbai.
