i keep bumping into
the same blank wall
wonder who built it?
this stone wall bars
any movement
either to right
or to left...
leave that stupid hope
of going forward anymore,
said the wall in
very clear terms

as a pass time
i keep throwing a small
ragged tennis ball
a child left behind-
always alert to catch it
as the wall keeps throwing
it back to me...
