Indian Airlines plane IC-814: Indian Airlines plane IC-814 with 180 crew and passengers returing from hoilday in Nepal is hijacked in Kathmandu. The plane is taken by 5 hijackers to Amritsar, then Lahore, Dubai and finally to Kandahar. The hijackers final demand was to realise the three dreaded terrorist arrested for Kidnapping Rubaiya Sayeed, daughter of India's Former Home Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed.

NewsX's special investigation reveals how one simple letter could have stopped all these acts. But it was not to be. The Government indeed ignored the letter. And the World continues to pay the price.

After 13 years, an exhausted investigation by NewsX reveals an incredible fact that the hijack could be totally avoided because 84 days before the Hijacking of IC-814, the government had received a specific warning that Pakistan was planning to hijack an Indian plane from Kathmandu, Nepal.
