India is experienced in universal immunisation program: ICMR DG

As India crossed one billion Covidvaccination coverage, ICMR Director General Dr Balram Bhargava said that the country is a valuable contributor in worldwide vaccination.

“I want to congratulate everyone. We are 1 billion in our country and the whole world is 7 billion so we have already contributed 1/7 in terms of the world vaccination. We have experience from universal immunisation program of several decades in India which has turned out to be very useful for rolling out this vaccination program so rapidly...entire vaccination program was free of cost is commendable from government perspective,” he added.
