Inday Prising - Burning Theaters

Soft sounds of distant poems filled the rancid air
Along with restless whispers of Romeo's heir
A theater filled with consuming empty chairs
Warned me again with my forbidden prayers

Not far away I noticed a faint light gleam
Coming from stage lights that lines up in a seam
The curtains fall and so begins the theme
Of questioned feelings that makes you wanna scream

Sat beside you as Morpheus entered your dreams
And made you part of his mischievous schemes
By rendering stolen glances as they steam
And reigning over me like someone supreme

Could I say that I was not aware
Of the consequences of that anxious stare
Or was I too sad or too willing to share
The selfish reasons for this silenced despair

Curtains close and so ends this familiar theme
Of queer feelings that still makes you wanna scream
