A White House spokesman says that the restoration of relations with Cuba is advancing with bipartisan support in Congress despite the opposition of a small but vocal minority, which will be reluctant to support any Obama nominee for ambassador. Even so, there are a number of steps the President can take, and he plans to use his executive authority to achieve normalization, which he believes is in the best interests of the country. teleSUR
