Ina Anandan - Re-birth

You kick, beat, shove, and it doesn’t move
May be ‘cause it has been there for five years
And you have just realized it now.

It has gradually taken root
Without you taking note of its significance
And you can do nothing now.

You look at it confounded
Scratch your head, wonder, shrug
And decide to toss it later.

After all, where does one have time
To clear a writer’s block
And write poetry again.
