Description
It's time now for an in-depth look at global markets, I'm joined on the line by Dr. Kim Seiwan, professor of economics at Ewha Womans University.
Dr. Kim, thanks for coming on today.
You're welcome.
So by President Trump's deadline there was no deal on trade with China, meaning the stronger tariffs are taking effect. Where are the two sides coming from at this point, and what derailed this deal that appeared to be coming together?
There's now a higher level of concern over the delay in this deal. What effect does this have on the global economy and the Korean market in particular, and what would happen if it falls apart altogether?
Today marks two years since President Moon took office. Economic indicators recently have been on the decline, and U.S.-China trade also taking a major toll. What does the Moon administration need to work on going forward to get us moving forward again?
That's where we'll have to leave it today, Dr. Kim. Thanks again for making time today. We appreciate your insights.
