Imprisoned Australian journalist releases first statement

The Prime Minister Anthony Albanese says the release of Australian Cheng Lei from detention won't be a condition on him visiting Beijing. This Sunday marks three years of detainment for the journalist, who has written an open letter to the people of Australia. Mr Albanese says he will continue to raise her case but warns the relationship with China shouldn't become transactional.
