This record is quite historic. It was the first proper project I did with my cousin, Daniel Glatman, (although we did first experiment with a group called Brooklyn), before he went on to create Blue, and become one of the most successful managers in the UK music business. He'd first tried to do the group called Brooklyn, with me and his school friend, Ben Davis, but then, in 1997, we properly developed this group, Impact, three boys and two girls, much like Optimystic had been previously. After many showcases, and endless rehearsals at the Dance Attic in Putney, and a rehearsal studio in Chiswick for weeks on end, and choreographers, and vocal coaches, they were going to be signed to Mushroom, and we even appeared on an ITV pop show with the group and the head of Mushroom, Korda Marshall. In the end it all went wrong, and the album never came out, and I introduced Daniel to my friend Hugh Goldsmith, who gave him the chance to do Blue. So this record by Impact becomes a lost footnote in the Ian Levine story.
