Impact Arts: CashBack to the Future Summer Showcase

Young People in Ayrshire, Edinburgh and Glasgow reflect on ‘the rights of the
child’ through film, drama, animation, textiles and visual art.

This summer, over 70 young people from Ayrshire, Edinburgh and Glasgow are taking over
Impact Arts Glasgow City Centre premises. Young CashBack to the Future participants will
showcase artwork on the theme 'the right of the child' with a promenade theatre
performance winding through the building, a group installation, and animation, films,
textiles and visual artwork filling the space.

Cabinet Secretary for Justice and Veterans Keith Brown MSP attends and presented
certificates to the young people.


The young people have been working with Impact Arts’ creative team throughout July, as
part of the CashBack to the Future programme.


About Impact Arts

Established in 1994, Impact Arts is a forward-thinking community arts organisation which
uses the arts and creativity to enable and empower social change.
The charity’s main office is based in Glasgow City Centre, with bases in Irvine, North Ayrshire
and Edinburgh.
Through a mixture of grant funding and social enterprise activities, the charity employs in-
house and freelance artists to deliver workshops for children, young people and older
people facing barriers or disadvantage.
