Imaginary Lines – Taxing the Rich

Today our host Michael Fox focuses on legislation recently introduced and then temporarily withdrawn by President Rafael Correa, including an inheritance tax and a capital gains tax that pushed to redistribute wealth by increasing taxes on the wealthy. Correa’s action came on the heels of daily protests against the laws by members of the conservative upper middle class opposition and rumors of a possible coup attempt against the Correa government.
