Il Branco nasce cinque anni fa, ma Nicola Pressi e Francesco Gambini se ne accorgono solo nel Febbraio 2015. I due, dopo aver condiviso anni universitari e alcune esperienze musicali, spinti dall’urgenza condivisa di esprimersi e seguendo una nuova alchimia scoperta e non cercata, iniziano a scrivere dei nuovi pezzi a quattro mani (Francesco ai testi, Nicola alle musiche). I testi hanno atmosfere metropolitane e post apocalittiche, incrociandosi spesso a visioni d’amore dantesco e irrisolto. Le melodie, tipicamente d’oltremanica, si appoggiano ad un mood cantautorale con forti vene punk.

Nel Giugno 2015, con l’inizio dell’attività live, al gruppo si unisce Leonardo Pressi, corista e polistrumentista cui vengono affidate percussioni e drum pad.

Da Settembre 2015 Il Branco accoglie Leonardo Luciani, che ha mixato e masterizzato l’intero EP e arruolato in seguito come fonico. Il loro eponimo EP è uscito lo scorso novembre 2015 e contiene 4 tracce.

Il Branco formed in 2011 but they realized to be a band only in 2015. Nicola and Francesco started to writing together lyrics and music, inspired by a mix of punk and songwriting with those typical moods coming from across the English channel. Since June 2015 Leonardo Pressi joined the band as drummer. Leonardo Luciano, after his work with the band for the post production of the EP joined il Branco as sound engineer starting by September 2015. The self titled Il Branco was released last november 2015.
