iCloud Initial Impressions

iCloud, available for both Windows and OS X users, is Apple's latest cloud-based backup and data distribution service. It allows users to store their data including calendars, email, iTunes media, and mobile backups in the cloud so you don't have to worry about a single hard drive failure causing you to lose your data.

One very important component of iCloud is Find My Mac, a geolocation service that allows you to locate, remotely lock, and wipe your iOS device and/or Mac. This makes it easier to track down your hardware in the event of loss or theft, and keep your data out of the hands of someone you don't know and/or trust.
