ICERD mirrors Article 153, say experts

Several panellists at the "ICERD: Yes or No?" forum held in Kuala Lumpur on Nov 26 opined that the spirit of the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination (ICERD) is similar to Article 153 of the Federal Constitution outlining the special privileges of the Malays and natives of Sabah and Sarawak. Associate professor Dr Azmi Sharom said to some extent, ICERD mirrors Article 153.
