Iago Meldini - Hot Summer

It was a very hot summer,
but there's more to remember it by,
because in that hottest of summers,
I met a girl for which you could die.

In April she was just Miranda,
A girl with a glint in her eye,
By May she became my Miranda,
If you saw her, you'd know for why.

In June the summer had started,
In parks and on beaches we'd lie,
By July we were saying 'I love you'
And finding it harder to say 'Goodbye'

In August It was even hotter,
The Lakes and ponds all went dry,
By September the summer was ending,
But our love refused to die.

I remember that very hot summer,
The summer of ninety five,
because in that hottest of summers,
I found a girl for which you could die!
