This woman told how her rare condition makes her vomit for ‘days’ in unpredictable episodes.

Erica Zaccone, 38, has been struggling to keep on top of her Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome which she says has made maintaining a job difficult.

The current bartender says that she has been forced to visit the emergency room nine times in the last year due to the condition.

She even says that the condition is so uncommon that she has only met two other people who have experienced Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome.

Due to the condition, she says that she can experience episodes that last for hours or even days.

However, she says that, ‘all you can do is manage the symptoms’.

Erica, from New Jersey, USA, said: “I am sharing my story of what my life is like living with Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome.

“That is a disorder that causes chronic and severe nausea and vomiting.

“Any time I get nauseous, I throw up, when I do throw up, I can’t stop. This can last anywhere from six hours to days.

“My longest episode lasted four days straight of non-stop vomiting.

“My condition makes me such an unreliable employee because it’s so unpredictable. When I do have a job, I have difficulty maintaining it. I’ve been to the emergency room nine times in the last year because of the condition.

“I have only met maybe two people in my entire life who suffer from this.

“All you can do is manage the symptoms.”
