I fell in love with you
And you with her
This was playing with my heart
So I broke yours

You wrote her a song
And cursed her name
But you didn’t know
It was me to blame

See, I became obsessed
Always waiting for you
I was in love
And you were too

But the one you loved
Was not me
She was a dream
I was reality

With her came passion
And physical needs
You left all you stood for
And gave it all to me

I used the broken pieces
Of your glass innocence
To cut my own soul
And curse my presence

What she did to you
Took you apart
You were hurt and confused
She held your heart

But she was me
And I had the glass
And stabbed your heart
So it wouldn’t last

For every hit
Was filled with spite
Why were you hers
And not my knight?

But you woke up
And then moved on
To hurt young girls
With your songs

Then they come to me
With no more glow
And hand me their hearts
To mend and sew

I sit and listen
To what you have done
But I have no string
To make them one

I just have the glass
That you gave to her
Covered in our blood
Of what we were

You still do not know
I’m not just a blur
For she was me
And I was her
