Huge Fireball Caught on Dashcam

Occurred on January 1, 2018 / Gaithersburg, Maryland, USA

Info from Licensor: "My wife and I were traveling on Centerway Ave in Gaithersburg, MD. We saw a huge explosion and fire ball ascending upwards of 50 to 80 feet high. It was just ahead of us on the right. When we slowed we could see the grass was also on fire. We then passed fairly close by the burning transformer, hoping it wouldn't explode again. It knocked out electrical power for 3 or 4 hours."
