Huge, Angry Carpet Python Removed From Home
5 Views • Sep 22, 2016
Description
In springtime, carpet pythons are a common sight in homes and backyards across Australia</a> and this eight-foot reptile caught by Ross McGibbon, of Sunshine Coast Snake Catchers 24/7, was agitated and ready to strike.
“The snake was reportedly quite defensive and striking at the residents and their dog when it was approached,” Ross said on Facebook.
“This defensive behavior is part of a ‘fight or flight’ response, which is an instinctive reaction to acute stress or life threatening situations. You’ll see in the video that when I catch it, all wants to do is get away. This is the ‘flight’ response as opposed to the earlier ‘fight’ response it was showing the residents.” Credit: Facebook/Sunshine Coast Snake Catchers 24/7
