A clown's smiles dressed in frowns
A lover's bait in a tattered gown

The sky above turns everything brown
Even a clown turns love's love down

Rides a trembling gaze to get around
Leaves bitter whispers in crazy towns

Behind she whimpers without a sound
Adorned beneath they wear a crown

She cries for all the jagged hearts they've found
He smiles at each one that astounds

And they both agree
that though they're bound
There is nothing else but knowing the bandages of a lover's kiss
