Huawei CFO out on bail

While awaiting a court decision about her possible extradition from Canada to the United States, Huawei CFO Sabrina Meng Wanzhou has been set free after posting a  US$7.5 million bond as well as agreeing to wear a GPS ankle bracelet and pay for 24-hour private security monitoring. Meng must return to court on February 6, 2019, for a hearing to set a date for an extradition hearing in the case that has added to the tension between China and the US amid their ongoing trade war.
