HRD ministry issues tri colour diktat
Description
Flying the national flag prominently will now be the new norm for all central universities. The decision was taken at a meeting between Union Human Resources Development Minister Smriti Irani and vice-chancellors of 46 central universities today. The government claims it is not a "top-down" order but one the vice-chancellors proposed themselves. All central universities to install a 207 ft high,125kg national flag on orders of HRD ministry all Central universities of India will install a 207 ft high national flag as per HRD ministry directive.
