How weird is this toy?

Tim bought this at the Frankfurt Gift Fair many years ago. Created by the designer Werner Bartmez, 9 dolls eyes have been fixed in a small metal frame. Like all dolls eyes, these open and shut, as you tilt them. The first one has all the eyes aligned, so they all open and close together. The second one has the eyes at different angles, so as you turn the frame, different eyes open and close.

Definitely an unusual item.
