How to tie the chod rig

Arguably carping's most fashionable rig, the chod is an almost bulletproof lesson in versatility. It might look somewhat alien and unsubtle, but this stubby little creation can be fished with confidence over almost any bottom. The lead buries into bottom detritus (or 'chod' -- hence the name) while the buoyant hookbait sits invitingly atop any underwater obstructions.
