How to Change your Computer Name on Windows 10?

Method 1:

Step 1: Go to search box at the Taskbar, and click on it.

Step 2: Type 'Settings', and then click on 'Settings' app to open it.

Step 3: Click on 'System', and then click on 'About' from left menu.

Step 4: Scroll down, and then click on 'Rename this PC'.

Step 5: Type your Desired Computer name, and then click on 'Next' button.

Step 6: Click on 'Restart Now' button. After restarting, Go to 'About' section again, and check the 'Device Name'. you will see computer name is changed.


Method 2:

Step 1: Go to search box at the Taskbar, and click on it.

Step 2: Type 'control panel', and then click on it to open it.

Step 3: Under category, click on 'system and security', and then click on 'system'.

Step 4: Click on 'Advanced System Settings' from left menu.

Step 5: Click on 'computer name' tab in system properties window.

Step 6: Click on 'change' button, and then Type your 'computer name'.

Step 7: click on 'ok' button, and then again 'ok' button.

Step 8: Click on 'close' button, and then click on 'Restart Now' button.


After Restarting, check your PC name, you see it has changed.

It's done.
