How to Block Any Website Using Hosts File in Windows 10?

Step 1: Click on Search box, and then do a search for 'Notepad.'

Step 2: Right click on Notepad, and then click on 'Run as Administrator.'

Step 3: Now, go to file, and then click on 'Open.'

Step 4: Go to the location of hosts file (C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc).

Step 5: Click on Dropdown in notepad, and then click on 'All Files.'

Step 6: Select the hosts file by clicking on it, and then click on open button.

Step 7: Now, go to the end of the file, and hit enter.

Step 8: In new line type the format like below to block any website.

127.0.0.1 www.website_that_you_want_to_block.com

so, suppose if i want to block facebook.com, I will type like this:-

127.0.0.1 www.facebook.com

Step 9: After that, click on 'File,' and then click on 'save.'
