Microplastics are everywhere in our environment, but changing the way we use plastic can help.

Imogen Napper is a National Geographic Explorer and a scientist on National Geographic’s ‘Sea to Source’ expedition, which is investigating plastic pollution in the Ganges River. Napper’s work led to an international ban on microplastics in makeup products, but she says there’s more work that needs to be done.
