How far can darts progress?

I ask the question how far can darts progress as a sport. With both the BDO and PDC getting more tv time and increase prize money. How much can darts continue to grow too? What are the strengths and the weaknesses to grow in darts. I talk about prize money, tv time and companies interested in shows the sport, alcohol, crowd behaviour and numbers. Also drugs, Olympics, ticket pricing and the expansion of the PDC Premier Window.
