How Does a Solar Eclipse Work?
Description
Solar eclipses happen when the Moon passes between the Sun and Earth, casting a shadow on our planet. Depending on distance and alignment, we see four types: total, where the Sun is fully covered; partial, where only part is blocked; annular, creating a glowing “ring of fire”; and hybrid, which shifts between total and annular. Whatever the type, every eclipse is a stunning reminder of the Sun–Moon–Earth dance. Never view a partial eclipse without proper eye protection!
