How do anticancer drugs work?
2 Views • Dec 17, 2022
Description
Currently, more than 50 chemotherapeutic drugs are known to fight cancer. All of these drugs can attack cancer cells before they multiply. Most of these drugs act on the nucleus of a cancer cell, especially in the area where the genetic information necessary for the reproduction of this cell (DNA) is located.
As a rule, the combination of different chemotherapy drugs (with different mechanisms of action) increases the effectiveness of treatment compared to using each drug separately.
