The Republic of Croatia is located in southeastern Europe. It shares its borders with Hungary, Slovenia, Serbia, Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Croatia declared its independence from 1991. The Croatian krona is the official currency used in it. Croatia is ranked 128th in terms of the world's area.
Croatia was called "Shrutus", which means "on top of the mountain."
Croatia's name is derived from the Latin word "Dux Croatourm", which derives from the Slavic language and means "Duke of Croats." The Latin term was used for the first time in the "Duke Terpemir" Charter in 852 for birth. Its official name is "Republic of Croatia"; On account of the "Republican" system of governance.
