Hotel occupancy in Cebu surges

Mia Singson-Leon, president of the Hotel, Resort and Restaurant Association of Cebu (HRRAC), said tourists may have difficulty securing accommodations as hotel occupancy has reached 90 percent or higher because of the Sinulog Festival.

Singson-Leon, who heads Quest Hotel, said in an interview on Friday, January 9, 2026, that majority of bookings were from domestic travelers.

The Sinulog Festival’s cultural celebrations will begin Friday afternoon.
