Typhoons were unusually frequent this year.
Since related meteorological data was first recorded, 1950 and 1959 saw 7 typhoons each, the largest number to have affected the Korean peninsula.
But this year, with 3 more months to go, has been marked by 6 typhoons already.
The reason for this is that the temperature of the North Pacific seawater is rising due to global warming.
Experts predict that the impact of climate change will make typhoons more frequent and stronger.
Tomorrow, the nation will be under cloudy skies,... whereas Jeju island is expecting another bout of rain.
However, the mercury will peak higher than today in the nation,... while Beijing can expect summer-like conditions including daily highs well in the thirties.
Checking out the readings in detail,... Seoul, Gwangju and Daegu kick off the morning at 17 degrees Celsius, Busan at 20 while Jeju begins at 21 degrees.
The daily highs seem to be on the hot side,... with Seoul rising to 28 degrees, Busan 27 while Jeju top 26 degrees.
