Horseshoe fungus and amadhu collecting, how to get the amadhu out of the fungus easily.

Post "skinning" involves repeated boiling and attitude correction with a wooden mallet till it becomes soft and pliable. This beaks up the fibres and makes them catch a spark better. The texture of the newly harvested amadhu is much like airated rubber

The smaller of the 2 horseshoe fungus has been donated to my local infant school as part of their "Nature Awareness" teaching program, teaching the young a respect for the countryside.
