Hook Shots: Operation Iowa Brown Trout

Iowa doesn't get much attention as a trout state, and that's just the way local brown trout hunter Dave Strom likes it. This long-time Hook Shots fan convinced host Joe Cermele to head to the Driftless area of northeast Iowa to see firsthand what the plethora of rivers near Decorah have to offer. The answer is lots of wild browns, but sometimes they make you work harder than you'd like to get them on the line.
