Honduras: International Jurists Question Judge Selection Process

In the coming months the Honduran Congress will choose 15 new Supreme Court judges. A visiting international judicial delegation, however, warns that the selection process has been plagued with irregularities that could call the results into question. A government spokesperson has accused the commission of outside interference and trying to create a crisis in the justice system even though jurists say that democratic countries usually have no problem receiving international delegations.
