A photo of a gay man who was kicked unconscious by a gang in Paris sparked demonstrations in the French capital.

Since the image of Wilfred de Bruijn was posted on facebook on Sunday, it has been shared around 8,000 times.

A French reform bill to allow same-sex marriage has been blamed for a series of homophobic attacks recently.
