I have wanted to write a song

So that we’d sing together.

Through the air I breathe
So that you do not know the meaning.

Send me back the tune
Through the air you breathe
So that I do not know the rhythm.

Let it be the consolation
The reason to make us smile
(In knowing) that we have tried.

Tried to make sense
Of an existence devoid of meaning
Through lies clothed in the spirit of truth
Uttered in desperation, promises, from distances afar.

I have wanted to write a song
