Homemade Mineola Marmalade
Description
How to make your very own homemade marmalade. It's very easy, it just has a very long cooking time.
You will need:
8 - 10 mineolas
4 cups water
4 cups sugar
1/2 cup lemon juice (3 lemons)
pectin (optional)
canning jars
-Wash the citrus under warm running water to clean off any wax residue.
-separate the pulp from the peel, or juice the fruits
-cook the pulp with some water
-drain off the liquid
-Cook the peel with the juice until it gets soft.
-add the lemon juice
-add the sugar
-cook until it gels
-Can
There weren't very many videos on here about making marmalade, so I figured I'd make one. If you have any questions about what I'm doing or why, just ask. I made this video, but it was too long so I cut about 4 minutes out, so if you think it's missing information, it probably is!
