Hollywood Dance Orchestra - Copper-Colored Sam (new copy)

Thanks to a much better copy kindly provided by bixbix81, I am now able to present this tune with drastically improved sound. Hence I could not resist reposting it. This pseudonym was used for dozens of bands, but in this case it refers to Billy James' Orchestra. Although he was a talented songwriter who composed quite a few tunes and recorded a significant number of good dance band sides for dime store labels, unfortunately hardly anything is known about him today. On this excellent 1929 side, we hear a vocal refrain by Jack Kaufman.
