Hockey - The sweep slap technique
9 Views • Oct 28, 2024
Description
Welcome back to learning hockey with Jude Felix Sebastian.
Today, we learn the sweep slap technique.
This is used to increase the accuracy of your passes.
For the posture, the upper body is slightly bent forward with the stick behind the ball.
The technique is basically a shuffle followed by a sweep stroke.
As for the grip, both your hands should be touching each other.
Here, when the face of the stick is facing the ground, the ball goes along the surface.
On the other hand, when its facing upwards, you can lob the ball for a great pass.
The power generated is mostly from the shoulders accompanied by a smooth hip rotation.
