A chill breeze
Wafting through the window
Rouses me from sleep.
Late again!

Frantically,
Searching for a sweater-
(Curses for the cold)
Thunder peals!

The hunt grows-
Adding an umbrella
And some rubber Crocs.
Who needs school?

Peacefully,
Falling back into bed,
Dreams begin to form-
But no, wait!

Yesterday,
Was there some announcement?
“DON'T DANCE IN THE RAIN! ”
I must go

Naked and
Dancing into the rain.
