Dad, we loved and trusted you to be around all through
But you maimed and left us all alone early, bidding adieu
Our hearts have become cold like stone
Can’t believe you’re gone
Not feeling the warmth of emotions washing ashore
Hate the voices saying our dear dad’s no more
It all seems like a nightmare
That will vanish once our eyes open up into thin air
Everything seems so unfinished
Hopes and dreams yet to be garnished
The fairy-tale that we had weaved together
Now just remains a blather
Our empty souls screech in pain
As their life has been callously drained
Anguished and startled at His plans arcane
The void left by you will always remain
Your love and laughter filled our lives
Now bleeding each moment pierced by your dearth’s spikes
You would never stand in our eyes any tears
Now you are gone, they are flooded with bloody smears
Miss that blessed touch of yours on our beings
Will always keep longing for your warm embrace and hallowed love tidings
Gone away to the farthest of lands
O His beloved child! rejoicing in the heavenly sands
Your children yearn to rest in your loving lap
But contented as you lay in peace with a soulful epitaph
Not a thing in the world is as dear
Oh dad, just that which brings you cheer
For ages you had endured for our sake suffering and pain, asking nothing in return
Now it’s our turn to burn the oil for your sojourn
Leaving our mom alone to meet your mom you are gone
Parting from your children, dad, to your dad you are gone
You were our guiding light
That shall still burn bright
From you we have life’s lessons imbibed
You shall forever remain our pride
